Ulysses Northern Beaches Branch Meeting Minutes
Date: 8th November 2022
Meeting opened 7.30pm
President Margaret Hogge introduced Mike
Ferris of World on Wheels to give a presentation to the meeting.
Unfortunately Mike was unable to show his video as the notebook used was
not compatible with the Master Builders projector.
Instead Mike gave
a verbal presentation about the history of his motorcycle touring
company World on Wheels. He also talked about his book “Free Back
Issues” which he created from his diaries/journals covering more than 25
years of running motorcycle tours all around the globe. It was a very
interesting presentation.

Future Directions for GONBUC.
The meeting discussed the plans to change
the branch from “Formal” to “Informal” details of which were
distributed to members in the “Future Directions for GONBUC” document.
It was the unanimous vote of the meeting that we should go ahead with
this change.
John Osborne, who is on the NATCOM committee, told the
meeting that we need to call a “Special General Meeting” of the branch
to have a vote on this proposal. He also said that we have to get the
approval of NATCOM to convene this meeting. He suggested that we have
two motions on the agenda for the meeting as follows:
1) Change the structure of the Ulysses Northern Beaches Branch (GONBUC) from “Formal” to “Informal”.
2) That we distribute the funds in our bank account as follows:
50% to Ulysses Club Arthritis Research Foundation (UCARF).
50% to Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS).
We plan to hold this “Special General Meeting” on Tuesday 13th December 2022, the date of our next monthly meeting and have everything completed by 31st December 2022.
John offered to assist us with the required paperwork for NATCOM.
Raffle Prizes.
It was decided that we would raffle the
last two Bunnings $50 Gift Cards at the December meeting and that would
clear all the prize inventory.
Meeting closed at 8.50PM
