Taralga Loop Ride 15th Oct 2026
Well, a total of three hardy souls arrived at Narellan road Maccas for the ride . Rod , Pete Strain and myself . I think the weather was a deterrent here , but once past Liverpool on the M5 , blue sky awaited us.
It was dry through the southern Highlands but was getting colder the further we went .
My maps was playing up merry hell , trying to take us back to the motorway at every chance , so we followed Rod until hitting the motorway at Marulan and into the Mobil servo at Goulburn, ten onto Taralga for
lunch .
I reset all settings on maps to normal and it worked as it should .
The ride from Taralga to Lithgow was great , a good speed on fantastic roads , especially The Shooters Hill section. We stopped to put on wets along Duckmaloi Road as it was threatening to rain . It did .
A wet ride over the mountains ensued, Rod and I went across the Causeway onto the Great Western , Strainy carried on over the Bells . That might have been the better option as the M4 was chockablock with Tintops . I figured it must be every Kiwi in Western Sydney heading into Moore Park for the footy test match.
We enjoyed the ride greatly.
