Pokolbin Park Ride 29th June 2023

 Thirteen gallant riders departed Berowra at 10:00am and charged forwards to Jerry’s for morning tea.

Under blue skies and cool conditions a brisk pace was set for the enjoyment of everyone.
The Gala regroup was abandoned so as not to lose momentum whilst being mindful the contingent often “moves on its stomach” as we made good progress northwards.
After morning tea we set off to Wollombi, did a regroup there then tracked eastwards towards Cessnock.
After going over Mount View Road (along with its 1 kilometre of dirt) all arrived safely at our destination for lunch.
The return leg saw several different routes back to PITS for a debrief and a chat with Max who also arrived on the scene.

  After a quick briefing 17 talented Riders (2 Ladies and 15 “Gentleman”) departed the Berowra 7 Eleven under clear Spring Sunny Skies at the scheduled   9:30am   earlier start time. As planned our group was joined by Karen Fitzgerald as we cruised by Jerry’s at Kulnura bringing the lady rider numbers up to three. Tallowa Dam Ride 29th Jan 2026

Well, didn't we have a great time yesterday. Nine riders gathered at McDonald's at Heathcote for a 9.30 start. Promising to be a beautiful day around 24° where we were riding and lots of twisty roads in the destination area, so what could be better. Rocket was there on his new BMW R 1300 GS in all its glory, ready to put it through its paces.   Unfortunately I had to change the end destination, because a bit of research a few days earlier showed that the road to Tallowa dam had suffered storm damage and was closed now, and unlikely to be opened until the middle of the year. Fortunately, there is an equally good destination called Camberwarra Mountain Lookout - about the same distance and all nice twisty roads to get to it so off we went. Ave Atque Vale Bob Yonge

  Hi, it's taken me pretty well all day to come to terms. Bob Yonge told me this morning that he will depart this world tomorrow Wednesday. I have known Bob for nigh on 30 years so even though I totally agree and understand his decision it's still came as a a bolt. A lovely respected gentleman who will be sorely missed! He has chosen to die at his home with his family beside him. He said to say hello and goodbye!!! Erica

Catherine Hill Bay Ride 11th Jan 2024

  Thursday 11th January - seemed like a good day to head out and join in the ride to Catherine Hill bay. Our leader for the day, must have lost his Passport and was a no show. The riders from the committee then did a quick scan of the next 6 months ride calendar and suggested that I assume the duties for the day as I had no ride leader duties for the next six months. Accepting the request - I then informed the 20 plus riders that morning tea would be a Dooralong - as I know the way - and there I would consult Google maps with a route taking us to Catherine Hill Bay. We had new riders from the Hills group join us - so we offered a token clap, another ride also tagged on the end when leaving the servo, slightly ahead of schedule. We all enjoyed a brisk ride - Old Highway - Peats Ridge - Kulnura - Bumble Hill - Yarramalong - Dooralong. Corner making working well - also noted that we had a Harley rider in the group today. Currarong Ride 20th April 2023

  Today’s ride to Currarong. I didn’t expect anyone to turn up due to the forecast, it was a bit misty at departure so we all agreed to head straight to the Robertson Pie Shop as it was looking bleak along the coast. The ride to Robbo was brisk and dry up the mountain. Pies were hot and weather mild. Post pies it still looked dodgy along the coast so we scratched Currarong and went for a skid around the southern highlands. All good all the way home, never trust a forecaster.   Cheers Rod
