Southern Highlands Ride 12th March 2026

 Departing Heathcote Macca’s at 10:00am 6 riders (Peter #1, Peter #2, Peter #3 and Peter #4) along with one Dave and one Kieth tracked southward and through the Royal National Park and onto to Stanwell Tops.


The road now is in very good shape after the completion of recent roadworks which hindered our last attempted ride through the National Park.

Maintaining a steady pace down the Princes Highway to the Kiama Blowhole for morning tea where we were faced with blustery and windy conditions on arrival so diverted to the more sheltered and infamous Fish and Chip Cafe located next to the boat ramp.

The weather was being kind to us as we prepared to tackled Jamberoo Road which took us up to the recently renovated Robertson Pie Shop for lunch. Whilst enjoying tradition Robertson delicacies (Potatoes Pies, Potatoes Milk Shakes, Potatoes Finger Buns) there was no need to discuss any worldly affairs as things appear quite normal when you are out and about riding motorbikes.

After lunch Dave S lead the charge back north to Sydney, turning left into Tourist Road at the bottom of the hill, past the Mittagong Airstrip and onto the freeway, then M7 and M2 etc.

Thanks to Peter (of the Blue Harley) for his TEC duties and keeping everyone nicely bunched up and look forward to catching up on our next ride.

  18 odd seasoned riders enthusiastically departed McGraths Hill   at 9:30am  determined to make the best of the inclement weather conditions. Off to Lithgow for morning tea, all arrived slightly damp due to the precipitation along the way. Next to Macca’s Kelso, via Tarana for lunch where a couple of riders refuelled before journeying towards Mudgee, the diversion to Hill End was cancelled as it was thought to be better to arrive in Mudgee sooner rather than later…also allowing more time at the Oriental Hotel and prepare for the traditional dinner. Next morning plan B needed to be evoked because the snow ploughs were being prepared in anticipation of further rain and a number of roads back to Sydney were already suspect with lots of water making riding conditions challenging. Ride to Samuel Gee Pies in Balaclava - Saturday 12th July 2025

Ride Report – St. Ives to Samuel Gee Pies, Balaclava Sunday Ride – Bright Skies and Great Pies Two riders, John W and Kevin H, set out from St. Ives under clear blue skies for a relaxed Sunday ride through Sydney’s outer reaches to the pie-lover’s haven, Sammuel Gee Pies in Balaclava. The morning began with perfect riding weather — crisp, bright, and sunny, with the winter chill giving way to a warm throttle hand as the day unfolded. With no rush, the pair took a comfortable pace through the northern suburbs before turning southwest toward the Blue Mountains foothills. Morning tea was enjoyed at Mulgoa , a scenic and quiet village where the roads are as smooth as the coffee. After a quick break, the ride continued through the winding roads of Hilltop , offering a pleasant mix of open curves and light traffic — just the sort of route to remind you why you ride. Southern Highlands Ride 13th Feb 2025

  7 Riders departed Heathcote Macca’s   at 10:00am   and trekked south towards the Kiama Blowhole for morning tea via Stanwell Tops. We rode through the scenic National Park until we came across a road closure…no worries…lead by Rod we turned left and head northbound for 20k’s or so and crossed the Audley Weir before cutting back on to Pacific Highway and then headed south once again. In due course we all arrived safely at the Kiama Blowhole for morning tea, the blizzard blowing at the time mucked up everyone’s hair style so after a quick M/ T we made our way back “up the mountain” (again lead by Rocket) towards the Robertson Pie Shop. Mother Nature put on a display of some light precipitation, heavy fog and zero visibility at times whilst making our way to the Potato Capital of NSW. Armidale Ride 2-5th June 2026

  Armidale 4 day ride report Day 1 – Tuesday 2 June 11 riders registered for this four day tour but one unfortunately had to drop out on the morning of the trip due to mechanical issues. That makes 10! [Three Peters, Two Frasers and a couple of other ‘unique’ individuals on the usual assortment of BMWs, a couple of Hondas and a lonely Kawasaki representative.] Nine riders set off from Berowra with a plan to pick up the remaining rider on the way. It was the usual route out of town (OPH to Calga, Peats Ridge Rd, George Downes Dr and then onto The Great North Rd). Morning Tea was at the Trading Post at Laguna and then it was off to Singleton to pick up Rider #10.  This Singleton detour had us discover a couple of really lovely back roads that I hadn’t ridden before (Stony Creek Rd, Middle Falbrook Rd, Glennies Creek Rd) before hopping back onto The New England Highway. 🏍️ Ulysses Northern Beaches Ride Report Destination: Khartoum Hotel, Kitchener Date: Sunday 6th July 2025 Weather: Cool and sunny – ideal for riding Riders and Route The day began with two riders meeting at the St. Ives starting point. After a smooth run up Mona Vale Road and the Old Pacific Highway, we stopped at the Pie in the Sky at Cowan, where two more riders joined the group – bringing our total to four . We continued north along the Old Road, enjoying light traffic and crisp winter air, eventually turning off towards Peats Ridge . Our morning coffee stop was at the Corrugated Café , where the coffee was hot and the conversation easy. One rider left the group here, while the remaining three pressed on.
