 It is our sad duty to inform you that our great friend and fellow Ulyssean, Graeme Andrews died last Tuesday 14th April at the Northern Beaches Hospital. He had been battling cancer for quite some time. 

Graeme was a generous and dedicated member of the Northern Beaches Branch of the Ulysses Club. He was Treasurer for many years and also a keen volunteer at our Bunnings Sausage Sizzles. He would donate the contents of his famous "Shrapnel Jar" to the sausage sizzle which was always a considerable sum. We had many "Maintenance Days" in his mechanics magic cave when he would help us solve all sorts of maintenance issues with our motorcycles. A true gentleman, may he rest in peace.

  Yesterday’s ride report to Kiama. This was to be my first ride for 2023. I leapt out of bed earlier than usual  (more like a slow roll to the edge of the bed enabling my legs the use of gravity to travel to the floor) as I needed to check the battery / tyres etc. Duly went through my morning rituals. I won’t go into the details but suffice to say being mustard gassed may have been a more pleasant experience!  The weather looked good and BOM indicated no rain. Pulled on my riding jeans and waddled off to brekkie. It then proceeded to piss down with rain so waddled back upstairs cursing BOM and put my other riding pants on. Normally, I meet up with my riding mate Dangerous Davis but he decided not to go south of the border rather he would join the PADPAL bunch and then go and mow his lawns at his Wangi Wangi ranch. Eleebana Ride 3rd July 2025

  Well , 13 hardy souls showed up to the Berowra start point . Must have had the same thoughts as me - weather clearing , let’s get out there ! Nobody got lost this time , except for myself, missing the Spring rd turnoff to the Bumble hill , embarrassing, but soon rectified.  Weather was quite nice , morning tea at the Dooralong Hall pleasant . Rob McKee left us  here , the rest carried on .  The second part of the ride went well , we all made it to Eleebana together . The conversation leant towards “ Health Problems “ probably due to the average age of us being relatively high .  A quick zap down the motorway to the Pie , with more discussion on various subjects. Glenbrook Sun 28th May

  Gonbug Ulysses Ride Report Glenbrook National Park( a smidgeon of dirt) Saturday 27May2023 What a magic day – cool & clear, for 3 of us ( John O , Geoff W and Herself ) to ride out west, firstly all the way along Comenarra Parkway’s gorgeously “autumnised” twisties, then along to New Line Road and some familiar roads out to Windsor, keeping it as rural as possible (avoiding the awful creeping suburbia). Enjoyed coffee/croissants in Windsor’s familiar centre strip, opposite the Macquarie Arms, then bumped along the cobbled back road, past Francis Greenway’s masterpiece,( St Matthew’s Church), then right onto the link road towards Richmond, but then left across the level crossing, out the back of Clarendon / Hawkesbury Showground (sadly, we had to miss the Orchid Show), along Racecourse Road, then across the busy main road, to aptly named The Driftway (80k limit, nil traffic), then left towards Yarramundi and up the triffik tight twisties (past the Castlereagh Lookout) , th...

Hi All, 5 hardy souls including newest & youngest Ulysses member, Mike (on a shiny black Kwaka GPZ900R sporty thing) braved the elements of light drizzle fading to brilliant sunshine as morning progressed. Waited til 5 past, just in case, then headed through Roseville Chase, Frenchs Forest, Seaforth to Dobroyd Head for quick chat about ……. Back roads to coffee at West End Cafe for more chat about …… Then up to North Head for more chat about……. Thanks to Mike, Rob, Bonny & Geoff. Pokolbin Park Ride 29th June 2023

  Thirteen gallant riders departed Berowra   at 10:00am   and charged forwards to Jerry’s for morning tea. Under blue skies and cool conditions a brisk pace was set for the enjoyment of everyone. The Gala regroup was abandoned so as not to lose momentum whilst being mindful the contingent often “moves on its stomach” as we made good progress northwards. After morning tea we set off to Wollombi, did a regroup there then tracked eastwards towards Cessnock. After going over Mount View Road (along with its 1 kilometre of dirt) all arrived safely at our destination for lunch. The return leg saw several different routes back to PITS for a debrief and a chat with Max who also arrived on the scene. Thanks to Rob T for his TEC duties.
